When someone is missing a part of their lower limbs, wearing opened toe shoes often isn’t an option. During the summer time and in warmer climates, opened toe shoes are a daily wardrobe staple and frequently a fashion statement. While shoe choice may seem minor, a cosmetic foot restoration opens up the possibility of wearing sandals again. This factor alone can make a big difference in the lives of our lower limb clients.
A recent note from a partial foot client:
“I have been meaning to write you all a note to thank you for everything- I wear my “foot” every day and no one has noticed or given it a second look!!! (Except my friends that know and they can’t get over how great and realistic it looks!) I have spent a fortune on shoes, too!!!! Haha”
